African American Studies Minor

The interdisciplinary minor in African American Studies enables students to explore the history, culture, politics, art, music, and literature that is associated with the field. Students will gain not only an understanding of the rich history in which African American Studies is grounded, but also will learn how that history is connected to and influences contemporary cultural issues.
