EQ 109 - Introduction to the Equine Industry Semester Hour(s): 3 Semester(s) Offered: Fall and Spring Introduction to the Equine Industry provides an overview of the career opportunities and economic impact of the equine industry as well as basic exploration of equine conformation, anatomy, physiology, identification, evaluation, care, facility design, and diseases. This course offers hands on work in evaluating equine behavior, anatomy, and shoeing. Guest lectures may include equine veterinarians, farriers, and dentists. Students will do research projects in a variety of topics including equine careers and facility design. Field trips are included as time permits.
