EQ 325 - Equine Massage Therapy

This class provides scientific and experiential-based instruction in equine massage therapy. The course begins with basic equine muscle anatomy and kinesiology, followed by overview of classical dressage and its role in correctly developed muscle structure and function. The student receives instruction in equine massage and problem solving techniques and theory related to equine muscle abnormalities. Development of personal practical techniques, honing your style as a massage therapist, and building a rapport with the horse, client and trainer are taught. Good Standing in Horse Care Responsibility Standards is required.
