EQ 315 - Teaching Therapeutic Riding Semester Hour(s): 3 Semester(s) Offered: Fall odd years Pre-Requisite(s): EQ 115 , EQ 208 , EQ 220 Co-Requisite(s): EQ 315L This course provides a study of the methods and theory of teaching riders with a variety of abilities through equine assisted services and therapeutic or adaptive riding. Curriculum closely follows the standards and best practices set out by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.). Along with lectures, students will look into different adaptations that can be made to make riding safe and beneficial to a variety of riders and will practice peer teaching in preparations for teaching participants.
