The Sport Studies program provides opportunities to examine the historical and contemporary role of sport in society. Classes consider the complex issues of race and ethnicity, social class, and gender and sexuality within sport and those relationships within areas such as media, politics, education, and the economy. Sport Studies prepares students to work in a variety of careers in the sport industry as well as pursuing graduate studies by combining their interest in sport studies with a minor of their choice.
