EMC 521 - Coaching Ethics and Leadership

This course will focus on ethics and leadership for sport coaches. Included in this course will be an in-depth discussion of best ethical practices for coaches, with regard to both on and off field issues. In addition, this course will examine evidence based research surrounding leadership styles and teach effective leadership strategies for developing athletes and sport organizations. Attention will also be given to effective strategies for empowering peer leaders at various stages of athletic and personal development. [NASPE Standards 3, 4, 18]
