AS 101 - Electrical Theory

This course will cover the electrical layouts of circuits. Students will learn to use instrumentation and tools to identify voltage, current, and resistance in any given circuit along with the formulas to calculate potential voltage, current, and resistance. Motors, related to HVACR, capacitors, diodes and other components will be covered and serve as the basis for activities in the lab. Students will have an opportunity to earn an HVAC electrical certification issued by ESCO, a governing educational body in HVAC studies, upon successful completion of this course.
