MT 308 - Numerical Analysis

An introduction to modern approximation techniques to explain how, why, and when they can be expected to work, and to use software programs utilizing these techniques. Topics will include round off error, locating roots of a nonlinear equation, interpolation, numerical differentiation, and numerical integration.
