MT 109 - Pre-Calculus I Semester Hour(s): 4 Semester(s) Offered: Fall and Spring Pre-Requisite(s): Placement (for non-STEM majors), STEM major This course includes polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, graphs, quadratic equations and inequalities and systems of equations and their applications. This course is a minimum co-requisite for general chemistry courses (CH 101 and CH 103 ). All STEM majors must be in an MT 109 or higher math course. Placement is through the mathematics department. Students may be required to take a lab component depending on their score on the placement exam.
