HI 305 - The History of Women Semester Hour(s): 3 Semester(s) Offered: Spring even years This course provides an in-depth analysis of the role of women throughout history both the cultural expectations and the reality, at different times and places throughout human history beginning with the 17th and 18th centuries in Europe, when ideas of equality germinated, to the present day, when the efforts to gain equality continue worldwide. Examinations of the status of women in different modern cultures are also a major part of this course, which covers historical, social, economical and cultural aspects of women in the world.
